I study the measurement and engineering of language-model post-training systems, especially reinforcement-learning methods on accessible hardware. My recent work examines GRPO on consumer AMD RDNA3 GPUs: establishing dual-peak utilization metrics, locating the sources of end-to-end inefficiency, and developing progressive optimization strategies for throughput and held-out performance.
